Åsa Larsson (born 28 June 1966) is a Swedish writer. She is famous for her exciting crime novels. Åsa was born in Uppsala, Sweden. But she grew up in Kiruna, a town far north in Sweden.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Åsa Larsson worked as a tax lawyer. This job is similar to her main character, Rebecka Martinsson. Rebecka is also a tax lawyer in Åsa's popular books.

Åsa Larsson is best known for her series of books about Rebecka Martinsson. These books are crime stories. They often take place in the cold, beautiful northern parts of Sweden.
Her first Rebecka Martinsson novel was called Solstorm. In English, it was published as The Savage Altar. This book won an award for the best first novel from the Swedish Crime Writers' Academy. It was also considered for a big international award called the Duncan Lawrie International Dagger.
Her second book, Det blod som spillts, also won an award. It was named the Best Swedish Crime Novel. Later, her fifth book, Till offer åt Molok, won the same award. The sixth and final book in the series, Fädernas misgärningar, was released in 2021. It also won the Best Swedish Crime Novel award.
