It's one of the tallest buildings in Denver, showing off its height among many others.
The Building's Story
This amazing building was designed by a very famous architecture company called Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. They are known for creating many iconic buildings around the world.
How the Building Got Its Name
The building has had a few different names over the years. When it was first built, a large oil company called Standard Oil rented a big part of the building. Because of this, it was known as the Amoco Building.
Later, it became known as the Bank One Tower. This was because Bank One, a big bank, had its offices there. Then, when Bank One joined with another large bank called JPMorgan Chase, the building's name changed again to the Chase Tower.
Today, the building is simply called by its address: 1125 17th Street. It's a simple name for a building with a lot of history! In 2017, the building changed owners a few times, but it still stands tall in Denver.
