A Look at Its Past
The address 115 King William Street has always been a place for businesses. Long ago, in the 1800s, a lawyer named George Michell had his office and home there.
Early Businesses
In the early 1900s, the spot was home to the Commercial Union Chambers. Many different offices were located here. The main business was the Commercial Union Assurance Company. From the 1930s, a printing company called Scrymgour & Sons used the building.
How the Building Grew
The plan for 115 King William Street was first approved on July 12, 2010. Back then, it was only going to be 64 metres tall with 16 floors. Later, the plan changed, and it was approved to be 25 floors high. In August 2015, they got permission to add one more floor, making it the 26-storey building we see today.
