How Teams Qualified and Played
This tournament had a special way of picking teams and playing games. The Atlantic 10 Conference was split into two groups: the East Division and the West Division. The top two teams from each division got to play in the tournament.
Tournament Structure
The way the tournament worked was pretty cool. The winner of one division played against the second-place team from the other division in the first game. For example, the top team from the East Division played the second-place team from the West Division.
The teams played in a double-elimination tournament. This means a team had to lose two games before they were completely out of the competition. If a team lost once, they still had a chance to win the whole thing!
