Location Mobile, Alabama
NRHP reference No. 64000005

The 19th Century Spring Hill Neighborhood Thematic Resource is a special collection of old buildings. These buildings are located in the Spring Hill area of Mobile, Alabama. They were all built in the mid-1800s.

These eight buildings are important because they are some of the best examples left from a time when Spring Hill was a popular summer getaway. Wealthy people from Mobile would go there to escape the hot city and stay healthy. Spring Hill used to be a separate town on the hills outside Mobile. Over time, Mobile grew and Spring Hill became part of the bigger city. Today, not much is left from when it was its own community.
