2010–11 Chicago Blackhawks season facts for kids
The 2010–11 season was the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team's 85th year in the National Hockey League (NHL). After winning the Stanley Cup the year before, the team faced some challenges. They had to let go of some players because of rules about how much money teams can spend on players (called a salary cap). It was also tough to keep up the same energy after winning such a big championship for the first time in 40 years! In the end, the Blackhawks were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by the Vancouver Canucks.
The Regular Season: Getting Ready
The Blackhawks played many games during the regular season to earn a spot in the playoffs. They worked hard to show they were still a strong team, even with some changes to their roster.
