Who Became President?
The winner of the election was Alberto Fernández. He used to be a very important helper to the president, called a Cabinet Chief. He was part of the Justicialist Party.
The person who was president before, Mauricio Macri, tried to win again for a second time, but he lost. This was a big deal because he was the first president in Argentina's history to lose when trying to get re-elected.
