The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 was a big international cricket tournament. It took place in England and Wales. This exciting event brought together the best cricket teams from around the world.
The tournament had two main parts. First, there was a group stage where every team played against every other team. This is called a round-robin format. After these matches, the top teams moved on to the next stage.
The second part was a knockout stage. In this part, if a team lost a match, they were out of the tournament. Only the winners continued to play. This made the final matches very thrilling!
About the 2019 Cricket World Cup
The 2019 Cricket World Cup was organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This council is in charge of cricket around the world. The tournament used the One Day International (ODI) format. In ODI matches, each team bats for a set number of overs, usually 50.
