On November 3, 2020, people in South Carolina voted for a new Senator. This election was important because it decided who would represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate. The main candidates were Lindsey Graham from the Republican Party and Jaime Harrison from the Democratic Party. Bill Bledsoe from the Constitution Party also ran.
Lindsey Graham won the election and kept his job as Senator for a fourth time. Jaime Harrison raised a lot of money for his campaign, more than any other politician in a Senate race that year. Before the main election, both parties held special votes called "primaries" to choose their candidates.
