The Story of 2030 CE
Imagine a world in the year 2030. No one has lived past the age of thirty since 2002. This is because of a mysterious illness called Progressive Ageing Syndrome (P.A.S.). Earth has become a difficult place to live.
Life Under Nexes
To keep society going, science, government, and businesses joined forces. They created a powerful group called Nexes. Nexes controls almost everything in this future world.
Because people don't live long, they are given careers when they are very young. They go through intense schooling for their specific job. By age 14, they are experts in their field. However, they don't know much about anything else. This means no one has enough information to question Nexes. This gives the few people in charge of Nexes total power.
The Secret of P.A.S.
Nexes was supposed to be a temporary solution. Its main goal was to find a cure for P.A.S. But the leaders of Nexes knew a cure would end their power. So, they stopped looking for one.
However, some people are being born without the P.A.S. illness. Nexes tries to hide this. They put these special people into dangerous jobs. This way, they hope these individuals will die before anyone notices they are immune.
Hart's Journey
The show follows a 14-year-old boy named Hart Greyson. He was training to be a doctor. He was at the top of his class. But then, he was told he had a genetic flaw. This flaw supposedly made him unable to be a doctor.
Instead, Hart was assigned a very risky job as a bio-tech. This job meant he would likely die before he turned 20. Hart knew he didn't have the flaw. He started to look closely at Nexes. He soon realized it was corrupt. Hart then joined Storm, a small group of rebels. They are trying to cure P.A.S. and stop Nexes.
