Jessica Lucas (born September 24, 1985) is a Canadian actress. She is known for her many roles on TV shows. These include The Resident, Edgemont, and Gotham. She has also been in movies like Cloverfield and Evil Dead. Jessica also appeared in a music video for Coldplay's song "True Love".

Early Life and Acting Start

Jessica Lucas was born and grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Her father is Black Canadian, and her mother is European Canadian.

She started acting when she was just seven years old. Jessica trained at the Children's Arts Theatre School in Toronto. She began her career by performing in plays on stage. Some of these plays included Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs and Grease.

Starting in Canadian TV

In 2001, Jessica joined the Canadian teen drama TV show Edgemont. She played a character named Bekka Lawrence. She started as a recurring character and later became a regular on the show. She stayed with Edgemont until it ended in 2005. She also had a main role in another Canadian TV series called 2030 CE in 2002.

Moving to American Shows and Films

In 2004, Jessica appeared in an episode of The L Word. She then got a main role in the ABC teen drama Life as We Know It. This show ran for one season.

In 2006, she was in the movie She's the Man. She also co-starred in The Covenant.

Big Roles and Horror Films

In 2007, Jessica joined the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She played Ronnie Lake in four episodes. In 2008, she guest-starred in four episodes of The CW's 90210.
