A Look Back: The Brigade's Story
This brigade started from the UK 28th Infantry Brigade. This British group arrived in Hong Kong in 1949. They joined another military group called the 40th Infantry Division.
The 28th Commonwealth Brigade was officially formed in Korea in April 1951. It took over from the 27th Commonwealth Brigade. The brigade was an important part of the 1st Commonwealth Division. It served throughout the entire Korean War. The brigade finally left Korea in 1954.
