340 on the Park is a very tall building in Chicago, Illinois. It's a "residential tower," which means people live in apartments there. This building is part of a big project called Lakeshore East. It is located in the New Eastside area of Chicago. The building was finished in 2007.
About the Building
340 on the Park is one of the tallest residential buildings in Chicago. It stands at 672 feet (205 meters) tall. The building has 62 floors, with many apartments for people to live in.
How Tall Is It?
When it was first built, 340 on the Park was the tallest building in Chicago where only people lived (meaning it wasn't an office building). Later, another building called 55 East Erie became taller. Now, 340 on the Park is the second tallest all-residential building in Chicago. The tallest one currently is One Museum Park.
Building Location
This tall building is in a part of Chicago known as the Lakeshore East development. This area is close to the city center, in the East Loop neighborhood. It's a modern area with many new buildings and parks.
