Building the Hotel
The construction of this tall hotel began in July 2014. It cost about £60 million to build.
Planning and History
Before construction could start, the project needed official permission. This permission was given in November 2010 by the Tower Hamlets Council.
The new hotel was built on a site that used to have a different building. This old building was a six-story office block. It was replaced to make way for the Novotel Canary Wharf.
