4Kids TV was a special block of TV shows for kids. It was also known as FoxBox from 2002 to 2005. This block was created by a company called 4Kids Entertainment.

It started as a weekly show block on Saturday mornings. You could watch it on the Fox Broadcasting Company channel. 4Kids TV was made for children aged 7 to 11. Sometimes, if a Fox channel didn't show it, other local TV stations would air the block instead.

Awesome Shows on 4Kids TV

4Kids TV aired many popular cartoons and animated series. These shows were often based on anime (Japanese animation) or video games.

Some of the most famous shows included Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This show was about four ninja turtles who fought crime. Another big hit was Yu-Gi-Oh!, where characters battled using special cards.

Kids also loved Sonic X, which featured the super-fast hedgehog Sonic. Winx Club was popular too, following a group of fairy friends. Other shows like Kirby: Right Back at Ya! and Dinosaur King also aired. Some shows, like Winx Club and Cubix: Robots for Everyone, were considered "E/I." This meant they were educational and informational.

4Kids TV also had a website called 4KidsTV.com. On this website, they launched an online video player in 2007. This player let kids watch full episodes of their favorite shows. They also added extra video clips and content that you could only find online.

The website was updated in 2008. Promotions said that 4Kids TV would "move online" in 2009. This meant the website would become the main place to watch shows. The online network fully launched in September 2009. However, the online network eventually closed down in November 2012.

Why Some Channels Didn't Show 4Kids TV

The way 4Kids TV worked with the Fox network was a bit unusual. Fox channels in different areas had the first chance to air the block. If a Fox channel decided not to show 4Kids TV, then other local TV stations could pick it up.

This sometimes caused problems. 4Kids Entertainment had been promised that at least 90% of Fox stations would show their block. But this didn't always happen. Because of these issues, 4Kids Entertainment decided to end the block in 2008.

Many Fox channels did air 4Kids TV. However, some Fox channels, especially those that joined Fox later, often chose not to show it. In these areas, another local channel, like an independent station or a UPN, CW, or MyNetworkTV channel, would often air 4Kids TV instead. For example, in St. Louis, Missouri, the Fox channel KTVI did air the block, but it started two hours earlier than usual.
