New Kings Take Power
- In the year 899, a new leader named Edward the Elder became the King of England. He was a very important ruler who helped shape early England.

A Monk's Journey
- A wise monk named Regino of Prüm had to leave his home in Prüm. But he soon found a new place to work and became the leader, or abbot, of St. Martin's monastery in a city called Trier.
