Where is A' Chrois Located?
The mountain stands north of Arrochar. This town is at the very end of Loch Long. A' Chrois forms part of a ridge of mountains. This ridge starts with The Cobbler (also known as Ben Arthur) in the south. It then goes through Beinn Narnain. Finally, it reaches A' Chrois in the north. This northern part is near Glen Loin. You can even see A' Chrois from Loch Lomond.
Climbing A' Chrois
A' Chrois is sometimes called the "eastern gateway" to the Arrochar Alps. You can climb it in a few ways. One common way is to go via Beinn Narnain. Another route starts from the village of Succoth. A' Chrois is also known as a "Corbett Top" of Beinn Narnain. This means it is a smaller peak that is part of a larger mountain.
