Associazione Calcio Pavia 1911 Società Sportiva Dilettantistica, often just called Pavia, is an Italian football club. It is based in the city of Pavia, which is in the Lombardy region of Italy. The team currently plays in a league called Eccellenza. This league is sometimes informally known as Serie E.
History of the Club
The club was first started way back in 1911. Over the years, the club has been re-founded several times. The current club, as it is known today, was re-established in 2016.
A famous player named Benny Carbone played for Pavia from 2008 to 2010. After he stopped playing, he became the team's coach at the end of the 2010–11 season. He did a great job and helped the team avoid being moved down to a lower league.
