Kids Encyclopedia Facts

ATI Technologies Inc. was a Canadian company that made important computer parts. They were famous for creating graphics processing units, often called GPUs. GPUs help your computer show images and videos on the screen. ATI also made chipsets for motherboards, which are like the main circuit board inside a computer.

The company started in 1985. Its first name was Array Technology Inc. Later, in 2006, a big company called AMD bought ATI.
