A Christmas Carol (also known as A Christmas Carol: Scrooge's Ghostly Tale) is a computer-animated movie from 2006. It is based on the famous 1843 story A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The film was made by BKN Home Entertainment.

This movie was first shown in some cinemas by Kidtoon Films on November 6, 2006. Later, it came out on DVD on November 21, 2006. It was also part of a series of classic stories from BKN.

About the Story

This version of A Christmas Carol is special because the characters are all animals acting like humans. For example, Ebenezer Scrooge and his family are skunks. Bob Cratchit and his family are rabbits.

The ghost of Jacob Marley is a cricket. The Ghost of Christmas Past is a stork. The Ghost of Christmas Present is a kangaroo. And the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is a walrus.

How This Version Is Different

This movie changes some things from the original book. For example, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come actually talks. In most other movies, this ghost stays silent.

Also, Tiny Tim does not die in the future shown to Scrooge. Instead, he grows up to be as greedy as Scrooge. In this film, Jacob Marley has been dead for two years. In the original book, he had been dead for seven years. The movie also shows Scrooge's childhood home.
