A Tiger Walks is a 1964 family drama movie. It was made by Walt Disney Productions. The film was directed by Norman Tokar and stars Vera Miles and Brian Keith. The story is based on a book called A Tiger Walks by Ian Niall. This movie was the last one for the Indian actor Sabu, who sadly passed away a few months after it came out.

The Story of Raja the Tiger

A Bengal tiger named Raja escapes from a traveling circus. Raja was not treated well at the circus. He hides in the woods near a small town called Scotia.

A Town in Panic

When people in Scotia find out about the tiger, they get very scared. Most of the townsfolk want Raja to be killed. But one person, Julie Williams, feels differently. Julie is played by Pamela Franklin. She is the daughter of the town's sheriff.

Julie's Mission to Save Raja

Julie wants to save Raja. She believes the tiger should be captured and sent to a zoo. To make this happen, she starts a special campaign. Her slogan is "save the tiger."

She asks children all over the country to help. This brings a lot of attention to the quiet town of Scotia.

The Race to Find Raja

Julie, her father, and an Indian tiger trainer must find Raja quickly. The National Guard has been called in. They have orders to shoot the tiger as soon as they see it. It's a race against time to save Raja!
