Aakash Gupta is a super funny Indian comedian, actor, and YouTuber. He's also a talented theatre artist. Aakash won the second season of a popular stand-up comedy show called Comicstaan. He shared the win with Samay Raina. Aakash is really good at performing arts and making funny sketch comedy videos.

Aakash's Early Life and Education
Aakash Gupta grew up in Delhi, India. He went to Sumermal Jain Public School. Later, he studied at Delhi University. He earned a degree called a Bachelor in Commerce with Honours.
Discovering Theatre in College
College was where Aakash first found his love for theatre. He quickly became known as a great performer. He acted in many street plays and stage shows. He also performed at big college festivals. These included Mood Indigo at IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi.
In his last year, Aakash was the president of Natuve. This was the theatre society at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. After college, he worked for a company called KPMG for one year. But he still did theatre on weekends with different groups in Delhi.
How Aakash Started His Comedy Career
Aakash decided to leave his office job. He wanted to focus on learning more about theatre. He also kept working on his comedy and improv skills. In 2014, he even did an internship at Radio Mantra.
Learning New Acting Styles
Aakash explored acting further. He got special training in Red Nose Clowning and Commedia dell'arte. These are unique acting styles. He learned from teachers from India and Germany.
Getting into Improv and Stand-up
After leaving KPMG, Aakash became very interested in improv comedy. This is where you make up scenes on the spot. In 2014, he joined a group in Delhi called Cueless Improv. He learned a lot from their trainer, Varoon Anand. Aakash performed many improv shows for two years.
In 2014, he tried stand-up comedy for the first time. He performed at an open mic event in Delhi. Three years later, in 2017, Aakash put his first stand-up video on YouTube. It was recorded in Mumbai.
Aakash's Stand-up Comedy Journey
Aakash started doing stand-up comedy after his improv shows. His first two stand-up videos became very popular. They were called Train Journeys & Honeymoon Trips and Relationships, Clubbing & Cocktails. These videos helped him start his national comedy tours. His solo show was titled Bhai Khush Raha Kar (Brother Stay Happy).
Becoming Famous with Delhi Metro and Comicstaan
In 2018, Aakash released his Delhi Metro video. It became a huge hit all over the world. It's still one of the most-watched videos on his channel.
Aakash then auditioned for Comicstaan 2. This show aired on Amazon Prime Video. He quickly became a favorite among viewers. He often got the highest scores in the episodes. His special sketch comedy style helped him reach the grand finale. He became the co-winner of Season 2 with Samay Raina. After Comicstaan, Aakash became very famous. He started performing many shows across India. He filled up auditoriums and college events.

After Comicstaan, Aakash released new stand-up videos. These included Dogs and Sarojini Nagar. The Sarojini Nagar video also became very popular. It was one of the first Indian stand-up videos to reach #1 trending on YouTube.

LOL: Hasse Toh Phasse and Comedy Premium League
He was part of a comedy reality show on Amazon Prime Video called LOL: Hasse Toh Phasse. He appeared with other famous comedians like Sunil Grover and Mallika Dua. In 2021, he was on the first season of Netflix’s Comedy Premium League (CPL). In this show, he did debates and roasts. Aakash teamed up with Kenny Sebastian, Kaneez Surka, and Prashasti Singh. Their team was called The Gharelu Gilehris (Homely Squirrels).
Other Web Series and Sketches
Later in May 2021, Aakash wrote, directed, and acted in sketches. These were for a new platform called Amazon Mini TV. In 2022, Aakash played a main character in the web series Couple Goals S3. This show also premiered on Amazon Mini TV.
