Aaradhna Jayantilal Patel (born on December 20, 1983) is a talented singer, songwriter, and music artist from New Zealand. She is best known by her stage name, Aaradhna. She began her music career in 2004. Her first big moment was singing on the song "Getting Stronger" with the group Adeaze. This song became a number one hit on the New Zealand music charts!

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Aaradhna has a mixed background. Her father, Jayanti Patel, is from India, and her mother, Sia'a Patel, is from Samoa. Aaradhna is the oldest of five children in her family.
She started showing her love for singing when she was just 11 years old. She would sing along with her mother to traditional Samoan and country songs. She also loved to copy the songs she heard in Bollywood movies that she watched with her father. Her father also performed at festivals, and she would go with him.
Aaradhna began writing her own songs at age 11. When she was 13, she entered her first talent show and made it to the finals. She joined the school choir at Porirua College. Later, she helped form a five-girl music group called "Lovera."
Aaradhna's Music Career
Aaradhna's first album was called I Love You. It was released in 2006 and quickly became popular, reaching the top 20 on the New Zealand charts. Some of her songs from this album were even featured in movies. For example, her song "They Don't Know" with New Zealand hip-hop artist Savage was in the movie Sione's Wedding. Another song, "Faith," was in the movie It's a Free World. In 2006, she also released a dance-inspired song called Love Declaration with Australian producer and DJ Paul Mac.
Music from 2008 to Today
In 2008, Aaradhna released her album Sweet Soul Music. This album was a tribute to classic soul songs, and it included her version of The Jackson 5's famous song "I Want You Back". The album came out on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2008.
In 2011, she started working on her third album with Dawn Raid Entertainment. She released the song "Wake Up" in August 2012. Her third album, Treble & Reverb, was then released in November 2012.
Aaradhna's fourth album, Brown Girl, came out in July 2016. This album explored her own experiences with racism in New Zealand. Brown Girl was a big success, reaching number one in New Zealand. It also appeared on the music charts in Switzerland. In November 2016, Aaradhna made headlines at the 2016 New Zealand Music Awards. She decided to give away her award for Best Hip Hop Artist. She felt that she was put in that category "because I'm brown" and believed that a singer should not get an award meant for a hip-hop artist.
Her most recent album, Sweet Surrender, was released on November 15, 2024.
