Abano (Georgian: აბანო) is a small village in the northern part of Georgia. Its name means "a bath" because of the natural hot springs nearby. These springs are part of the Abano Mineral Lake Natural Monument.
Abano is located in the Kazbegi Municipality, which is in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. This region is also called a mkhare, which is like a province in Georgia. The village sits on the left bank of the Tergi River. It is about 28 kilometers (17 miles) away from the town of Stepantsminda.
