Abbas Duzduzani (Persian: عباس دوزدوزانی) was an Iranian politician. He was born on June 5, 1942, in Tabriz, Iran. He passed away on July 29, 2018, in Tehran, Iran. Duzduzani was known for his work in government. He served in the cabinet of Mohammad-Ali Rajai. He also helped start the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He was its first commander.

A Life in Public Service
Abbas Duzduzani dedicated many years to serving his country. He was involved in politics from a young age. He played a role in important events in Iran's history. His career included various leadership positions.
Starting the Revolutionary Guards
In 1979, Abbas Duzduzani became a founder of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This group was formed to protect Iran. He served as its first commander. His service in this role lasted from 1979 to 1980.
Serving as a Minister
Duzduzani also held a high position in the government. From September 10, 1980, to August 17, 1981, he was the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance. This role involved overseeing cultural and media affairs. He worked under President Abolhassan Banisadr and Prime Minister Mohammad-Ali Rajai.
In the Iranian Parliament
Abbas Duzduzani was elected to the Iranian Parliament. He served multiple terms there.
- From October 29, 1981, to July 25, 1984, he represented Tabriz, Osku and Azarshahr.
- From July 26, 1984, to May 28, 1992, he represented Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat and Eslamshahr.
As a Member of Parliament, he helped make laws for the country.
Leading the Tehran City Council
Later in his career, Duzduzani became involved in local government. He was a member of the City Council of Tehran.
