Abbie Cornish (born on 7 August 1982) is an Australian actress. She is known for her roles in movies like Somersault (2004), Bright Star (2009), and Sucker Punch (2011). She also played Lindy in Limitless (2011) and Clara Murphy in RoboCop (2014).
Abbie Cornish also worked with director Martin McDonagh on Seven Psychopaths (2012) and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017). For Three Billboards, she won an award with the rest of the cast. In 2018, she played Cathy Mueller in the TV show Jack Ryan and returned for the final season in 2023.

Abbie Cornish was born on 7 August 1982 in Lochinvar, New South Wales, Australia. She is the second of five children. Her sister, Isabelle Cornish, is also an actress. Abbie grew up on a 70-hectare (170-acre) farm. Later, her family moved to Newcastle. When she was a teenager, Abbie loved watching independent and foreign films.
Acting Career

Abbie Cornish started modeling when she was 13 years old. She was a finalist in a Dolly Magazine competition. In 1999, she won the Australian Film Institute Young Actor's Award. This was for her role in the TV show Wildside. After that, she got her first movie role in The Monkey's Mask.
In 2001, Cornish played Penne in the TV show Life Support. This show was a funny look at Australian life.
In 2004, Abbie Cornish was in the short film Everything Goes. She also starred in Somersault. For this role, she won several awards, including Best Actress at the Australian Film Institute Awards. She also received praise for her role in Candy (2006), where she acted alongside Heath Ledger.

Abbie Cornish is also a rapper, singer, and songwriter. She has been rapping since 2000 under the name MC Dusk. She was part of an Australian hip hop group called Blades for four years. In 2015, Cornish opened for American rapper Nas during his tour in Australia. That same year, she released two new songs online: "Evolve" and "Way Back Home". These songs were re-released in 2020. Her first collection of songs, called an EP, Key of the Sun, came out in 2021.
