Hakim Abu Mansur Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Daqiqi Balkhi (born around 935 or 942, died around 976 or 980), often called Daqiqi, was a famous Persian poet. He followed the ancient religion of Zoroastrianism. Daqiqi is known for writing a part of a very long epic poem called the Goshtaspnama. His life ended at a young age.

Who Was Daqiqi?

Daqiqi was one of the first important poets of the Samanid Empire, a powerful kingdom in Persia during his time. He lived in a region known for its rich culture and learning. Poets like Daqiqi played a big role in keeping the Persian language and its stories alive.

His Important Work: The Goshtaspnama
