Acanthinula spinifera is a tiny land snail that breathes air. It belongs to a snail family called Valloniidae. This special snail is only found in the Canary Islands, a group of islands near Africa.
About the Acanthinula Spinifera Snail
This small snail lives on two of the Canary Islands: Tenerife and La Palma. Scientists don't know much about this snail, but they think it's quite rare. Being "endemic" means it naturally lives only in this specific place and nowhere else in the world.
