The silver maple (scientific name: Acer saccharinum) is a type of maple tree. It is also sometimes called the creek maple, river maple, or soft maple. This tree is originally from eastern North America. You can find it in the eastern United States and parts of southeast Canada. It is one of the most common trees growing in the United States.
