Active is a small place in Bibb County, Alabama, United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it does not have its own local government, like a city or town does.
History of Active
The community of Active was located along the Mobile and Ohio Railroad. This was an important train line that helped connect places. People believe the community was named "Active" because the residents were very busy and full of energy! A post office was opened in Active in 1899. However, it only stayed open for a few years and closed in 1906.
Population Information
Even though Active has been around for a long time, it has never had its population counted separately in the United States Census. The census is a big count of all the people living in the country. Because of this, there are no official numbers for how many people have lived in Active over the years.
