Adam Michael Rodriguez (born April 2, 1975) is an American actor, director, and screenwriter. He is famous for his roles in popular TV shows. Many people know him as Eric Delko in CSI: Miami or as Agent Luke Alvez in Criminal Minds.

Early Life and Dreams
Adam Rodriguez was born in Yonkers, New York. His mother, Janet, worked as an airline ticket agent. His father, Ramon, was an executive with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Rodriguez is proud of his family's background, which is a mix of Puerto Rican and Cuban heritage.
He went to Clarkstown High School North and graduated in 1993. As a teenager, Rodriguez's biggest dream was to become a professional baseball player. Unfortunately, a serious injury in high school ended his sports hopes. After that, he decided to try acting and joined a children's theater in New York. Before he became a full-time actor, he even worked for a while as a stockbroker.
Acting Career
Rodriguez started his career by appearing in commercials, including one for Coca-Cola. He had small parts in many TV shows like Brooklyn South, Law & Order, Roswell, and NYPD Blue.
He also appeared in music videos for famous artists. You can see him in Jennifer Lopez's video for "If You Had My Love" and 50 Cent's video for "Many Men".
Big Break with CSI: Miami
In 2002, Rodriguez got his big break when he was cast as Eric Delko in the new show CSI: Miami. He was one of the original cast members and became a fan favorite. The show was a huge hit and ran for ten seasons until it ended in 2012.
During his time on the show, Rodriguez also tried directing and writing. He directed and wrote one of the episodes in season 9.
Movies and Other TV Shows
Besides CSI: Miami, Rodriguez has acted in many movies and other television series. He starred in the Tyler Perry movie I Can Do Bad All by Myself in 2009. He also played a love interest for a main character in the show Ugly Betty.
One of his most well-known movie roles is Tito in the Magic Mike films. He appeared in Magic Mike (2012), Magic Mike XXL (2015), and Magic Mike's Last Dance (2023).
In 2015, he had a recurring role as a doctor on the TV show The Night Shift.
Joining Criminal Minds
In 2016, Rodriguez joined the cast of another popular crime show, Criminal Minds. He plays Luke Alvez, an FBI agent who joins the special team called the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). He became a main character in the show's 12th season.
More recently, in 2021, he had a recurring role as Bobby Diaz in the drama series Ordinary Joe.
Personal Life
Adam Rodriguez married model Grace Gail in 2016. Her father is the actor Maxwell Gail. Together, Adam and Grace have three children.
