Adams Landing is a small community in Alberta, Canada. It is known as an "unincorporated community." This means it does not have its own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it is part of the John D'Or Prairie 215 Indian reserve.

Adams Landing is found in northern Alberta. It sits on the north side of the mighty Peace River. This river is a very important waterway in Canada. The community is located downstream from where the Wabasca River joins the Peace River.

Where is Adams Landing Located?

You can find Adams Landing south of Highway 58. It is also near the community of John D'Or Prairie. If you travel about 120 kilometres (75 miles) east, you will reach the town of High Level. Adams Landing is about 255 metres (837 feet) above sea level.

A Historical Stop for Boats

Adams Landing has a bit of history. In 1920, a person named C.P. Hotchkiss wrote about it in his notes. He reported that many boats, big and small, would stop at Adams Landing. This shows it was once an important spot for river travel.
