Adaora Nnenna Elonu (born on April 28, 1990) is a talented professional basketball player. She is from both Nigeria and America. Adaora plays as a forward for her teams. She is also a key member of the Nigerian national basketball team.
Adaora played college basketball for Texas A&M University. While there, she helped her team win a big championship. This was the NCAA Championship in 2011.

College Success
Adaora Elonu played college basketball for the Texas A&M Aggies from 2008 to 2012. She was a very important player for her team. In 2011, she helped them win the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament. This is one of the biggest achievements in college basketball.
Playing for Clubs Around the World
After college, Adaora started her professional career in 2012. She first played in Israel for a team called Hapoel Galil Elyon. After that, she moved to Spain.
In Spain, she played for several teams. She joined Beroil–Ciudad de Burgos and later CB Conquero. With CB Conquero, she won the Copa de la Reina (Queen's Cup) in 2016. She was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of that tournament!
Later, she signed with CB Avenida, another strong Spanish team. She helped them win the Supercup and finish at the top of their league.
In 2018, Adaora had a short time playing in the WNBA in the United States. She signed a short contract with the Atlanta Dream.
She returned to Spain in 2019 to play for Uni Girona CB. There, she continued to win awards. She was named MVP when Uni Girona won the Spanish Super Cup in September 2019.
In 2021, she played for Nadezhda Orenburg in Russia. However, she left that team in 2022. Soon after, she came back to Spain and rejoined CB Avenida. She has been playing for them since 2022.
Playing for Her Country: Nigeria
Adaora Elonu is a proud member of the Nigerian national team. She has helped her country win many medals.
- In 2015, she won a bronze medal at the AfroBasket Women 2015 tournament. She was also chosen as one of the top five players in the tournament.
- She helped Nigeria win gold medals at the Afrobasket championships in 2017, 2019, and 2021.
- In 2017, she was known for her great passing, averaging the most assists for her team.
- By 2018, she became the captain of the Nigerian team. She led them in the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.
- In 2021, as captain, she led her team to another gold medal at the FIBA Women's Afrobasket tournament in Cameroon. She was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the entire tournament!

Adaora Elonu has a brother who is also a professional basketball player. His name is Chinemelu Elonu.
