Adaora Nnenna Elonu (born April 28, 1990) is a talented professional basketball player. She is from both Nigeria and America. Adaora plays for the Nigerian national team. She also played college basketball at Texas A&M University. While there, she helped her team win the big NCAA Championship in 2011.

Adaora Elonu's Basketball Journey
Adaora Elonu started her amazing basketball career in college. She played for the Texas A&M Aggies from 2008 to 2012. During her time there, she was a key player. In 2011, her team won the NCAA Championship. This is one of the biggest awards in college basketball!
Playing for Clubs Around the World
After college, Adaora began her professional career overseas. In 2012, she played in Israel for a team called Hapoel Galil Elyon. After that, she moved to Spain.
- First Spanish Teams: She joined Beroil–Ciudad de Burgos. Later, she played for CB Conquero. With CB Conquero, she won the Copa de la Reina (Queen's Cup) in 2016. She was even named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of that tournament!
- Joining CB Avenida: Adaora then signed with CB Avenida, a top Spanish team. She helped them win the Supercup. They also finished at the top of the regular season.
- WNBA Experience: In 2018, Adaora got a chance to play in the WNBA. This is the biggest women's basketball league in the United States. She signed a short contract with the Atlanta Dream.
- More Success in Spain: In 2019, Adaora moved to another Spanish team, Uni Girona CB. She continued to shine there. She won the MVP award again when Uni Girona defeated Perfumerías Avenida to win the Spanish Super Cup.
- Recent Teams: She played for Nadezhda Orenburg in Russia for a short time. Then, she returned to Spain and rejoined CB Avenida in 2022.

Adaora Elonu is a proud member of the Nigerian national team. She has helped them win many medals!
- Bronze Medal: In 2015, she won a bronze medal at the AfroBasket Women 2015 tournament. She was even chosen as one of the top five players in the tournament.
- Gold Medals: Adaora helped Nigeria win gold medals at the AfroBasket Women 2017 in Mali, the 2019 Women's Afrobasket in Senegal, and the 2021 Women's Afrobasket in Cameroon.
- Team Captain and MVP: She became the captain of the Nigerian team in 2018. In 2021, she led her team to another gold medal at the Afrobasket tournament. She was also named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of that tournament!

Adaora Elonu comes from a basketball family. Her brother, Chinemelu Elonu, is also a professional basketball player.
