Ademir Santos: A Football Journey

Ademir Santos was born in Bahia, Brazil. In May 1985, he made a big move to Japan. There, he attended high school and continued his education.

Starting His Career in Japan

After finishing high school, Ademir joined a football club called Yamaha Motors in 1987. This team was part of the Japan Soccer League at the time. He played as an offensive midfielder. During his time with Yamaha Motors, he played in 30 matches and scored 2 goals.

Playing for Shimizu S-Pulse

In 1992, Ademir moved to a new club, Shimizu S-Pulse. This team was part of the new J1 League. However, it was sometimes hard for him to play in games. This was because of rules about how many foreign players could be on a team.

In September 1995, Ademir became a Japanese citizen. This meant he was no longer counted as a foreign player. Even after gaining citizenship, he faced challenges. He had several injuries that kept him from playing as much as he wanted. Ademir Santos retired from playing football at the end of the 1996 season. Throughout his career, he played a total of 41 matches and scored 4 goals.
