Adnan Mansour (Arabic: عدنان منصور; born 5 January 1946) is a Lebanese diplomat and politician. He used to be the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants for Lebanon.

Early Life and Learning
Adnan Mansour was born in Bourj el-Barajneh, Lebanon, on January 5, 1946. He grew up in a Shi'ite family. He went to St. Joseph University in Beirut. There, he earned a bachelor's degree in administrative sciences and policies. He also has a master's degree in political theory and a PhD in political science.
His Career Journey
Mansour started working at the Foreign Ministry in 1974. He served as Lebanon's consul in several countries. These included Australia, Sudan, and Egypt.
Becoming an Ambassador
From 1990 to 1994, he was the Lebanese ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Later, from 1999 to 2007, he served as the Lebanese ambassador to Iran. His last ambassador jobs were in Europe. He was the Lebanese ambassador to Grand Duchy of Luxembourg from 2007 to 2010. He was also ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium from 2007 to 2011.
Minister of Foreign Affairs
After his time as an ambassador, Mansour became an aide to Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. He also joined the Amal Movement political group.
On June 13, 2011, Adnan Mansour was chosen as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants. He took over from Ali Al Shami. Mansour was part of the March 8 coalition in the government led by Najib Mikati.
In January 2012, Mansour visited Libya. This was the first time a Lebanese diplomat had visited that country in thirty years. In September 2012, he traveled to Mauritania with a Lebanese judge. They went to ask questions about the fate of Imam Musa Sadr. Imam Sadr was an important religious leader.
Adnan Mansour's time as foreign minister ended in February 2014. Gebran Bassil then took his place.
His Opinions and Friends
Adnan Mansour is known for having a friendly view towards Syria. He is also close to Nabih Berri. A Lebanese journalist, Nayla Tueni, once called him "Syria's foreign minister in Lebanon."
In September 2012, Mansour suggested that Arab foreign ministers should meet. He wanted them to speak out against a controversial movie. Some Lebanese politicians did not agree with his suggestion. In March 2013, Mansour said that Syria should be allowed to rejoin the Arab League. This idea also caused some disagreement within the Lebanese government and with other Arab countries.
Personal Life
Adnan Mansour is married to Layla Fakhoury. They have three children together.
