Adolfo Bolea Sanz (born March 24, 1933 – died November 14, 2020) was a Spanish football player and coach. He played as a forward, which means he was usually at the front of the team, trying to score goals.
Adolfo Bolea spent most of his playing career with Cádiz. He played in 309 games and scored 115 goals in the Segunda División, which is Spain's second-highest football league. He also played a few games in La Liga, the top league, for Español. After he stopped playing, he became a manager, even coaching Cádiz for short periods.

Adolfo Bolea's Playing Career
Adolfo Bolea was born in El Poble-sec, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He started his football journey with UE Sant Andreu in the 1951–52 season.
- He played his first game on September 30, 1951.
- In his fourth game, on October 21, he scored his first goal.
- During his second season, he scored 13 goals in 29 games. This included his first hat-trick (scoring three goals in one game) in a 4–1 win.
Bolea then moved to RCD Español, a team in La Liga, the top Spanish league. However, he was loaned out to other teams.
- First, he was loaned to CD Tenerife.
- He scored three goals in one game and an amazing four goals in another for Tenerife!
- After that, he was loaned to Sabadell.
- He finally played six games for RCD Español in La Liga, scoring three goals. This included two goals in a 4–1 win against Hércules CF.
After his time in La Liga, Bolea returned to the second division. He joined UD España in Tangier, which was then part of the Spanish protectorate in Morocco.
- In his very first game for UD España, he scored another hat-trick.
- He had his best scoring season here, with 20 goals in 29 games.
- When Tangier became part of Morocco, his club merged with another team.
Bolea then moved to Cádiz CF, where he spent the last eight seasons of his playing career. He retired from professional football at the age of 31.
Adolfo Bolea's Coaching Career
After finishing his playing career, Adolfo Bolea became a coach.
- He started as a player-coach for an amateur team called Balón de Cádiz in 1964. He stayed there as a manager for six more years.
- In 1971, he returned to Cádiz as an assistant coach. Soon after, he became the interim (temporary) manager.
- In 1974, he was put in charge of the newly formed Cádiz B team. He helped them get promoted to a higher regional division.
- He also coached Racing Club Portuense for a short time.
Bolea came back to Cádiz as an interim manager in the 1975–76 season.
- He took over when the team was in a tough spot.
- He successfully helped them avoid being relegated (moved down) from the second division.
- However, he became ill and could not take on the permanent manager role.
After coaching Cádiz's B team again, Bolea's last job as a manager was at CD San Fernando in the 1982–83 season.
Adolfo Bolea's Later Life
Adolfo Bolea passed away on November 14, 2020, in Cádiz, at the age of 87.
