Adoram Keisi (born June 17, 1972) is a retired Israeli football player. He played most of his career as a left defender for Maccabi Haifa F.C.. With them, he won 4 league championships, one State Cup, and 2 Toto Cups. Adoram was known for his amazing headers and for scoring important goals when his team needed them most.
Early Life and Start in Football
Adoram Keisi was born in Petah Tikva, Israel. He grew up in a Jewish family. He started his football journey playing for the youth team of Hapoel Petah Tikva.
Playing Career Highlights
Adoram Keisi joined Maccabi Haifa F.C. in 1995 from Hapoel Petah Tikva. Early in his time there, he had a serious leg injury. However, he worked hard to recover and became one of the best left defenders in Israel.
He played 51 games for the national team and scored 4 goals. He also played for Maccabi Haifa in the UEFA Champions League group stage. Adoram was excellent at heading the ball. He often moved forward during games, scoring many goals and helping his teammates score from the wing.
In 2004, Adoram left Maccabi Haifa due to disagreements about his contract. He returned to his old club, Hapoel Petah Tikva. But in 2005, he came back to Maccabi Haifa. After his return, he helped the team win three more league championships and another State Cup title.
Retirement and New Role
Adoram Keisi retired from playing football in 2007. This happened after the team's manager, Roni Levi, decided to remove him from the squad. After Roni Levi left the club, Adoram Keisi took on a new role. He became the squad director and an assistant to the new manager, Elisha Levi.
