Adrian Matejka is an American poet and writer. He is known for his powerful poetry collections, including The Devil's Garden and Mixology. About Adrian Matejka
Adrian Matejka was born in Nuremberg, Germany. His family was serving in the U.S. military at the time. He grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, in the United States. He went to Indiana University Bloomington and Southern Illinois University Carbondale. There, he earned advanced degrees in creative writing.
Adrian Matejka has received many special awards and grants. These awards, called fellowships, help writers focus on their work. Some of these came from important groups like the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
