Adrienne Riccoboni was born in Glasgow, Scotland. This was in November 1931. Her mother was English, and her father was Italian. Her father, Luigi, also known as Louis, ran a hotel in Callander, Scotland, in the 1930s. Adrienne had one brother.
Acting Career
Adrienne Corri was an actress for many years. She appeared in films and on television. One of her most famous roles was in Stanley Kubrick's movie A Clockwork Orange (1971). She played Mary Alexander in this film. She was not the first choice for the role, but she got it after two other actresses left. Stanley Kubrick respected her because she was willing to work hard. She would do many takes of a scene until it was perfect.
Film Roles
Adrienne Corri's first movie was The Romantic Age in 1949. After that, she was in The River (1951). She also played Lara's mother in the famous movie Dr. Zhivago (1965). Another role was Dorothy in the thriller Bunny Lake Is Missing (1965).
She acted in several horror and suspense films. These included Devil Girl from Mars (1954) and Vampire Circus (1972). She also appeared in Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978).
Television Roles
Adrienne Corri also had many roles on television. She was in the science fiction movie Moon Zero Two (1969). She played Countess Olivia in a TV version of Twelfth Night (1970). In this show, she acted alongside the famous actor Alec Guinness.

Adrienne Corri knew many important people in British theater. She had a good relationship with director Stanley Kubrick. She had two children, Patrick and Sarah. They were from a relationship with film producer Patrick Filmer-Sankey.
Adrienne Corri died at her home in London on March 13, 2016. She was 84 years old. She passed away from a heart condition.
Art Studies
Adrienne Corri was also interested in art. She wrote a book called The Search for Gainsborough. This book was like a diary. It told about her efforts to find out if a painting of David Garrick was really by a young Thomas Gainsborough. She also wrote an article about the painting for The Burlington Magazine. Her research showed that she believed the painting was by Gainsborough.
Marriage
Adrienne Corri was married to actor Daniel Massey. They were married from 1961 until 1967. They divorced because they had different ideas about their lives. After their marriage ended, Adrienne Corri went back to acting.
