Adrienne Warren (born May 6, 1987) is a talented American actress, singer, and dancer. She first appeared on Broadway in 2012 in the musical Bring It On. Later, in 2016, she was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed. Adrienne also earned great praise for playing Tina Turner in the West End show Tina in 2018. She then won a Tony Award in 2020 for the same role in the Broadway production.

Early Life and Education
Adrienne Warren was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. Her parents were both high school coaches. She started performing at her church when she was young. She attended the Governor's School for the Arts, a special high school for talented students. In 2009, Adrienne graduated from Marymount Manhattan College. Before becoming a big star, she performed with music groups like The Dream Engine and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She also sang for a non-profit group called Magic-The State Of The Art.

Adrienne Warren began her acting career in musicals such as The Wiz and Dreamgirls. Her first big break on Broadway was in the musical Bring It On in 2012. In 2016, she starred in Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed. For this, she won the 2020 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2021.
In October 2020, Adrienne got her first main TV role. She played Mamie Till-Mobley in the ABC series Women of the Movement. Mamie Till-Mobley was an activist and the mother of Emmett Till.
In December 2020, Adrienne narrated the audiobook for Tina Turner's book, Happiness Becomes You. This book was released by Simon & Schuster's Atria Books.
In September 2021, Adrienne was cast in the epic movie The Woman King. She starred alongside Viola Davis. The film is based on true events from the 18th and 19th centuries in the Kingdom of Dahomey in Africa. In the movie, Adrienne plays a brave warrior.
