Who is Agent Smith?
Smith started as an Agent. Agents are special AI computer programs. They work inside the Matrix, a fake world created by machines. Their job is to keep order and stop anything that causes problems. This includes humans who try to break free.
Agent Powers and Appearance
Agents like Smith have amazing powers. They can bend the rules of the Matrix. Smith can take over the body of a human connected to the Matrix. This means he can appear almost anywhere. If his host body is "killed," he just moves to another one.
He is super strong and fast. He can dodge bullets easily. He can also punch through concrete. Agents wear dark suits, white shirts, and sunglasses. They use earpieces to talk to each other. This lets them know what other Agents are doing.
Smith's Transformation
At the end of the first movie, Neo seemed to destroy Smith. But Smith came back in the next films. He was linked to Neo in a strange way. This link stopped him from being deleted by the machines.
Smith was no longer an Agent. He became a computer virus program. He was free from the machines' control.
The Virus Smith
As a virus, Smith could copy himself. He would touch someone in the Matrix. Then, a black liquid would spread, turning them into another copy of Smith. This created a huge army of Smiths. All of them were connected by one mind.
Smith could even take over humans in the real world. He did this to a character named Bane. Smith also gained power by taking memories from his victims. He even took over the Oracle, a powerful program.
In the final battle, Smith fought Neo. Neo allowed Smith to take him over. This gave the machines a chance to delete Smith. It helped bring the Matrix back to normal.
