The Aguaro-Guariquito National Park (also called Parque nacional Aguaro-Guariquito in Spanish) is a special protected area in Venezuela, a country in South America. It is a national park found in the Llanos region, which is a large plain. The park stretches across parts of the Guárico state.
This park was created on March 7, 1974. It covers a huge area of about 5,857 square kilometers (585,750 hectares).
In 1974, the Venezuelan government, led by President Rafael Caldera, decided to protect this important natural area. They wanted to make sure that this beautiful part of the plains would stay wild and natural for everyone, now and in the future.
The park has a warm climate. It experiences two main seasons each year. The dry season, or summer, lasts from November to March. The rainy season, or winter, runs from April to October.
