Aid, Missouri facts for kids
Aid is a small, unincorporated community located in Stoddard County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Aid is situated along Missouri Route F, about six miles west of the town of Bloomfield.

Early Days and the Post Office
A post office was first opened in Aid in 1904. This office was very important for the people living there, allowing them to send and receive mail. The post office served the community for many years before it closed down in 1949.
How Aid Got Its Name
The name "Aid" comes from a person! The original owner of the land where the community was established decided to name it after his son, whose first name was Aid.

In 1925, records show that about 110 people lived in the community of Aid.
