Aiquile is a town in Bolivia, a country in South America. It is located in the Cochabamba Department. Aiquile is the main town, or capital, of the Narciso Campero Province and the Aiquile Municipality.
Many people living in Aiquile are from the Quechua group. The town is very famous for its residents being excellent makers of the charango. The charango is a small, stringed instrument that looks a bit like a tiny guitar. People say Aiquile has the best charango makers in all of Bolivia!
Aiquile's Climate
Aiquile has a unique climate, which means its weather patterns are special. The town is located at an elevation of about 2,255 meters (7,398 feet) above sea level. This high altitude affects its temperatures and rainfall throughout the year.
The weather in Aiquile changes between warmer, wetter months and cooler, drier months.
- The warmest months are usually November and October.
- The coolest months are July and June.
- Most of the rain falls between December and March.
- The driest months are from May to August.
