Working Towards Agreements: Treaty Process

The Aitchelitz First Nation is part of the British Columbia Treaty Process. This is a way for First Nations and the governments of British Columbia and Canada to make new agreements about land, rights, and self-government. Seven of the 11 Sto:lo Nation First Nations are continuing in this process. The Aitchelitz First Nation has reached Stage 4, which means they are well into the detailed discussions and negotiations to finalize their treaty.
