Akira Kitaguchi (北口 晃, Kitaguchi Akira, born March 8, 1935) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward and was a member of the Japan national team.

Playing for Club Teams
Akira Kitaguchi was born in Osaka Prefecture on March 8, 1935. After finishing his studies at Kwansei Gakuin University, he joined a football team called Mitsubishi Motors in 1957. In 1965, his team became part of a new league called the Japan Soccer League. Kitaguchi played 4 games in this league. He retired from playing football in 1966.
Representing Japan
In 1956, while still a student at Kwansei Gakuin University, Akira Kitaguchi was chosen for the Japan national football team. He was part of the squad for the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia. However, he did not play in any matches during that tournament.
In May 1958, he was again selected for the Japan national team. This time, it was for the 1958 Asian Games. On May 26, 1958, he played his first game for Japan against the Philippines. He played a total of 10 games for Japan and scored 1 goal. His last game for the national team was in 1959.
