Starting Laughing Cat Studio
In 1984, Al Jewer created Laughing Cat Studio. Later, in 1994, he started Laughing Cat Records. This allowed him to control how his music was recorded, produced, and shared.
Collaborations and Music Styles
Through Laughing Cat Records, Al has worked with many musicians from the Midwestern United States. Some of these artists include Blackhawk, David Storei, Roxanne Neat, Natty Nation, Adrian Belew, and Weekend Wages. Laughing Cat Records features music in different styles like Ambient, Native American, Reggae, Classical, and Folk.
Al Jewer's Albums
Al Jewer has released two solo albums: River Crossing and Prairie Plain Song. He also created two albums, Two Trees and Music of the Earth, with Andy Mitran. Earlier, he formed a duo called Cedar Wind with Christine Ibach. Cedar Wind released two albums: Feather on the Wind and Kindred Spirits. His recent music often blends the sounds of alto and bass flutes with the Native American flute.
