Alabam is situated about six miles northeast of a larger town called Huntsville. You can find Alabam along Arkansas Highway 127.

Alabam sits on a wide, flat area of land that is higher than the surrounding land, often called a ridge. This ridge is positioned between two important rivers. To the southwest, you'll find War Eagle Creek, and to the northeast is the Kings River. These rivers are natural features that help define the landscape around Alabam.

Just about one mile south of Alabam, you'll find another small community called Old Alabam. This area is located where Highway 127 meets U.S. Route 412, another important road.
