Aladdin is a famous fictional character from Walt Disney Pictures. He is the main hero of the 1992 animated movie Aladdin. This movie is based on an old folk tale from the Middle East.
In the animated film, Aladdin's speaking voice is done by American actor Scott Weinger. His singing voice is provided by Brad Kane. Aladdin also appears in two direct-to-video sequels: The Return of Jafar (1994) and Aladdin and the King of Thieves (1996). He also stars in the animated television series that came after the movie. More recently, Mena Massoud played Aladdin in the live-action movie released in 2019.
Who is Aladdin?
Aladdin is first shown as an eighteen-year-old living on the streets of Agrabah. He never went to school. Instead, he learned everything he knows from his experiences in the city. To survive, he often had to steal food from the local market.
Aladdin's Family
Aladdin was born to Cassim and his wife. When Aladdin was a baby, his father left to try and find a better life for his family. When Aladdin was two years old, his mother was taken by bandits and was thought to have died. Aladdin's parents were very poor and could not even afford clothes for their son.
Early Adventures
When Aladdin was seven, he had his first encounter with Razoul. Razoul was the new captain of the Sultan's guard. Aladdin had stolen an apple from a fruit stand. He was very clever and managed to get away from the guards at first. However, they eventually caught him. He was sent to the palace dungeon. But Aladdin was resourceful and managed to escape by picking the locks on his chains.
When he was twelve, Aladdin stole a vest, a pair of pants, and a fez from a clothesline. By the time he was sixteen, he joined a group of circus performers. This is where he met his loyal monkey friend, Abu.
