Alanís is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the province of Seville in Spain. It's a place where people live and work, just like your own town or city. In 2005, about 1,937 people lived there. Alanís covers an area of 280 square kilometers, which is like a big park! It sits high up, about 660 meters above sea level, and is about 106 kilometers away from the city of Seville.

Churches and Chapels
Many of the old buildings in Alanís are religious. They are special places where people have worshipped for hundreds of years.
- Ermita de San Juan (14th century): This chapel was built in the 1300s. It has a special style called Mudéjar, which mixes Christian and Islamic art. It was fixed up in 1907.
- Ermita de Nuestra Señora de las Angustias: This chapel is built in the Gothic style, which was popular in the Middle Ages. It was rebuilt in the 1700s.
- Ermita de Ntro Padre Jesus de Nazareno: This chapel dates back to the 1500s. You can visit it from 10 AM to 10 PM.
- Iglesia Parroquial Ntra Sra de las Nieves: This is the main church in Alanís. It has a very important and beautiful altarpiece inside, also in the Gothic style.

- Castillo de Alanís: This is the castle of Alanís. It was originally built by the Arabs a very long time ago. Castles like this were important for protecting towns.
